Position: Security Officer Construction Site
Location: Lower Manhattan, New YorkWork Type: Full-Time Employment Opportunity Available!Pay Rate: $18.00/hourExperience: 2 years security experience

Shifts Available:

• Afternoon Shift: 3PM-11 PM (Tuesday-Thursday) & Morning Shift: 7am-3pm (Saturday & Sunday).
  Expected duties may include but are not limited to:
  
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Manage access control
  • Provide JSB standard customer service while assisting clients, customers, employees, visitors, and guests
  • Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, packages and/or activities
  • Immediate response and assistance to emergencies to provide necessary support and contact emergency services when necessary
  • Patrol site
  • Write incident reports and log book entries
  • Protect the client's and company's assets from theft, assault, fire or other safety issues
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members
    Requirements:
    
    • 2 years security experience
    • New license holders welcome to apply!
    • OSHA-30 or 10 Construction
    • TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card) Certification
    • Valid New York State Security Guard License
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
    • Flexible work schedule
    • Must be able to work weekends
    • Strong and Consistent Work Ethic
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Command of the English language and ability to be clearly understood in English
    • Strong smartphone & tablet operating skills
    • Professional Demeanor and Appearance
    • Fully Vaccinated
    • 18 years old (or the minimum age required by State)
    • Authorized to legally work in the United States
    • Pass a drug test with negative results
    • Pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, and employment and education verification, as well as Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks, if applicable
    • If prior military, must be able to provide a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, upon job offer
