Job Description:

Under supervision of a radiologist and direction department leadership, competently performs imaging on a 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging scanner. Responsible for scanning and preparing images for review per protocols in MRI. Must have the ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy, perform MRI's and inject contrast media where applicable. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.

  • Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experienceRequired Licenses/Certifications

    • MRI certified by ARRT (ARMRIT or CAMRT)* - - - -
    • BLS Certification through American Heart Association. - - - -
    • Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two-year period, for re-certification and licensure. - - - -
    • 2 MRI Safety Credits annually

      • Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. - - - -
      • Strong communication skills to effectively relay information both up and down the chain of command. - - - -
      • Ability to plan, organize, set goals and objectives for review and evaluation. - - - -
      • Knowledge of state and federal health safety laws and TJC Standards. - - - -
      • Ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy. - - - -
      • Ability to establish access to veins for purpose of giving IV contrast. - - - -
      • Knowledge of basic medical equipment (i.e. O2 Tank, pulse oximeter, EKG machines, etc.). - - - -
      • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.Pay Range = $31.71 - $46.88
