Job Description:

For a women's clothing wholesale and retail business, the buyer will, under the supervision of a procurement manger, be involved and help with product sourcing, supplier management, inventory management, and pricing and cost management: identify and source women's clothing items that align with current fashion trends and customer preferences; negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable prices, quality standards, and delivery terms; develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; coordinate with suppliers to ensure that products are delivered on time and meet the agreed-upon specifications; monitor inventory levels to ensure that stock is sufficient to meet customer demand without overstocking; help with calculating competitive pricing; work to reduce expenses through effective negotiation and supplier management; monitor and report on profit margins, adjusting purchasing strategies as needed; analyze sales data to identify top-selling items and underperforming products; work closely with the accounting department to ensure that all purchase orders, invoices, and payments are accurately recorded; reconcile purchase orders with invoices and delivery receipts, addressing any discrepancies; monitor the budget for buying activities to stay within allocated limits; prepare financial reports related to purchasing and cost analysis; maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements; etc.
