Job Description:
A company is looking for a Pharmacy Technician Sr to evaluate
and authorize prior authorization pharmacy requests.
Key Responsibilities
Determines medication appropriateness and communicates decisions to
relevant parties
Communicates prior authorization criteria and pharmacy benefit
coverage to physicians and staff
Monitors telephone systems and assesses training needs within the
team
Required Qualifications
GED or High School diploma
Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance
with state requirements
2+ years of pharmacy experience
In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs and
medical terminology
Proficiency in pharmacy computerized systems and MS Office Product
Suite
