Job Summary:Waterview Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a PTA, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation of residents who have experienced a decline in functions.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and implement physical therapy services under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in developing and implementing treatment programs for assigned residents.
• Enter billing information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Report resident progress in meetings as required.
• Consult with other rehabilitation team members to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
• Provide residents with equipment as necessary.
• Chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Perform routine documentation as required.Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant; license in good standing.
  • Previous skilled nursing facility experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a harmonious team environment.
  • Desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion.
