Job SummaryThe Miriam Hospital is seeking a skilled and
compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered
Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient
care, acting as a patient advocate, and working collaboratively
with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Key
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering
medications, performing diagnostic tests, and developing and
implementing individualized care plans.
- Assess patient needs, identify potential health risks, and
develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient
care, communicate effectively, and ensure seamless transitions of
care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to
the development of policies and procedures, and maintain up-to-date
knowledge of best practices in nursing care.
- Supervise and guide less experienced nursing staff, provide
mentorship and support, and promote a culture of excellence and
continuous learning.Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode
Island or eligibility for licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a BSN
preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking
skills, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment,
prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development,
with a focus on staying current with the latest nursing practices
and technologies.Work Environment and Physical RequirementsThe
Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,
with exposure to a variety of patients, conditions, and medical
procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in
a team setting, communicate clearly and compassionately with
patients and families, and maintain a high level of physical and
mental energy throughout the workday.Supervisory ResponsibilityThe
Registered Nurse will not have direct supervisory responsibility,
but will be expected to provide guidance and support to less
