Join Our Team as a Rehabilitation Therapist
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation
Therapist to join our team at Waterview Hills Rehabilitation &
Healthcare. As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will have the
opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our
residents. Our skilled nursing facility offers a range of
rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and
speech therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct physical therapy programs to
facilitate rehabilitation of residents who have experienced a
decrease in functions.
- Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing
physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed
physical therapist.
- Perform treatment programs for assigned residents, ensuring
that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at
all times.
- Enter billing information in an accurate and timely
manner.
- Report resident progress in meetings, as required or
appropriate.
- Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to
coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
- Provide residents with equipment as appropriate.
- Chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner that
reflects the therapy provided to residents, as well as their
response to the therapy.
- Perform routine documentation as required and in accordance
with established charting and documentation policies and
procedures.
- Cooperate with all departments and staff to facilitate
harmonious working conditions and promote optimal resident
care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
Assistant.
- Licensed in the state of New York as a Physical Therapist
Assistant.
- Previous skilled nursing facility experience is highly
preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure and harmoniously with all
staff.
- Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and
handicapped.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families,
and staff.
- Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and
compassion.
- Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated.
