the globe.The Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and
Student-Athlete Services shall direct and enforce the Department of
Athletics' compliance with NCAA, Conference, and University rules
and regulations. Oversee the planning and implementation of
strategies conducive to the academic, athletic and personal
development of the student-athletes. Create and install methods of
rules compliance education for student-athletes and staff.You
Will:
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities of NCAA compliance,
including monitoring recruiting activities, eligibility, financial
aid, amateurism, and adherence to playing and practice season
rules. This includes providing timely interpretations of NCAA,
conference and university rules to coaches and staff.
- Administer and certify all required NCAA and University
required forms pertaining to student-athlete eligibility including
but not limited to the NCAA Student-Athlete Statement, NCAA
Student-Athlete Drug Consent Form and the University's Drug Consent
Form as well as any University compliance forms.
- Serve as the department's liaison to the registrar, admissions
and financial aid offices to ensure that the activities of these
offices are current and congruent with the rules and regulations of
the NCAA.
- Plan and oversee the implementation of strategies conducive to
the academic, personal, and professional development of
student-athletes.
- Work in collaboration with various liaisons in student affairs
administration, academic affairs administration, coaches and
athletics administration to facilitate programs that enhance
student-athletes' skills in support of retention and
graduation.
- Liaison with the Office of Residential Life office to
coordinate housing for student-athletes that are required to be
on-campus during any vacation and holiday break periods.
- Prepare academic achievement reports each semester for each
sport.
- Compile the data and prepare all required academic reports
including the annual Academic Performance Census and the Graduation
Rates reports as required by the NCAA and the federal
government.
- Perform other duties and projects assigned by the Director of
Athletics and/or Deputy Director of Athletics.You Need:
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and
regulations.
- Proficiency in NCAA apps including but not limited to CA,
Compliance Forms, Academic Portal, Transfer Portal, RSRO, LSDBi,
and Eligibility Center.
- Skills needed include planning, organizing, monitoring,
evaluating, and communicating effectively with a high degree of
