Britain, CT 06051**This position is a remote work position with
minimal travel to the main office in New Britain.**Position
Summary:The Associate Director of Technology Programs oversees
various aspects of program development, improvement, and
administration within the Business and Technology department. This
role primarily focuses on the Software Development major while also
assisting and coordinating other technology majors.
Responsibilities include curriculum design, faculty recruitment,
student advising, admissions support, marketing collaboration,
assessment development, employer engagement, course scheduling, and
program expansion planning.Example of Job Duties:The following

required duties. Other essential duties may be assigned consistent
with the general scope of the position.
- In collaboration with industry, design, and redesign courses
for the Software Development degree program.
- Assist in faculty recruitment by identifying needs, conducting
interviews, and making recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Advising Department to establish advising
guidelines and facilitate pursuit of external
certificates/credentials.
- Develop recruitment materials such as PowerPoint presentations
and FAQs for Admission Department sessions.
- Work with the Marketing Department to enhance the Software
Development major webpage and related materials.
- Establish assessment measures for all technology programs,
ensuring both direct and indirect evaluation methods.
- Engage local employers to create internship opportunities for
all technology majors and explore Credit for Prior Learning
options.
- Foster partnerships with K-12 institutions for dual enrollment
opportunities.
- Review course designs for all technology programs in the
Business and Technology Department.
- Participate in the recruitment process for faculty within other
technology disciplines.
- Establish assessment measures for technology majors, ensuring
comprehensive evaluation.
- Coordinate with local employers to promote internship
opportunities across technology programs.
- Initiate planning for potential new technology degrees or
upgrades to existing programs.
- Perform all required administrative functions including but not
limited to course scheduling, bookstore support requests, and other
administrative functions as required.Minimum
Qualifications:Incumbents must possess proven ability to
effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically
diverse faculty, staff, and students. They are expected to have
excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong
information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.). Incumbents are
required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in
the following:
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science,
Information Technology, or Cyber Security.
- Experience in curriculum design and program development within
a higher education setting using Blackboard.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and
external stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in project management and organizational
skills.Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years progressive experience with at least five
(5) years of senior management experience.
- A minimum of seven (7) years online teaching experience at the
undergraduate or graduate level using Blackboard.
- Experience with faculty recruitment and hiring processes.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards and assessment
practices in higher education.
- Knowledge of industry trends and practices in technology
fields.
- Experience in marketing or recruitment activities for academic
