Job Description:
Runwise is looking for a Director of Business Development to
expand our footprint in the Tri State Area. This person will be
responsible for deepening our relationship with key building owners
and property managers. This candidate will work alongside our
quota-carrying Account Executives to help them open up new deal
cycles, speed up existing deal cycles, and grow existing accounts.
This candidate will be trusted as the customer-facing ambassador of
Runwise to the buildings that we can drive the most value
for.Runwise () is a fast-paced, customer-focused climate-tech
startup that controls and runs the key energy systems (heating,
water, etc---) in 8,000+ buildings throughout the US. Runwise's
unique hardware and software service significantly reduces energy
usage, substantially lowering costs and carbon output. As of today,
Runwise's technology takes the equivalent of 100,000 cars worth of
carbon emissions off the road each year.As the Director of Business
Development at Runwise you will have the ability to manage your own
time, set priorities, meet and exceed monthly goals, and work
directly with our Co-Founder, Chief Growth Officer and the Head of
Sales on the most pressing initiatives within our rapidly scaling
business.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Building and maintaining deep relationships with the biggest
owners and property managers in the Tri State area
- Clearly presenting the value proposition of Runwise controls
and positioning us as the default choice for any centrally heated
building
- Identifying new sales opportunities through networking and
customer referrals
- Leading the charge with Runwise's networking efforts, doing
everything from identifying the best events, attending the events,
and tracking results from the events
- Working with Runwise Account Executives to understand their
active sales pipeline and leveraging your relationships to increase
win rates and deal speedWho you are:
- You have worked 10+ years in the New York property management/
building ownership industry (either directly or working with)
- You have deep network of contacts within the industry,
specifically in New York City and in Multifamily
- You are an outstanding networker who thrives at face to face
events of all kinds (tradeshows, hosting at a sporting event,
organizing an industry lunch)
- You have a knack for distilling potentially complicated
concepts into simple, value based, terms in a way that makes people
want to do business with youSalary range: On Target Earnings of
base salary and commission $200,000 - $250,000 (Uncapped
Commission) based on experience levelWhat you believe:
