Job Description:
Lead overall operations of Casa Lever restaurant in the absence
of General Manager. Responsibilities include leading, upholding
guest satisfaction, and maintaining business integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Direct departmental logistics efficiency and create new offerings
based on demand and guest feedback.
* Assist in staff training and materials generation, including menu
descriptions and service manuals.
* Oversee dining room service, communicate guest issues, and
support staff with tasks and resolving issues.
* Liaise with private dining contract contacts and personalize
service by leading by example.
Labor Management:
* Direct daily work activities of all staff, utilize Ceridian
Dayforce, and review performance.
* Set a positive example, mentor, and cultivate a management team
who uphold service and hospitality standards.
* Work closely with management to establish a group of
hospitality-minded employees.
* Understand, follow, and direct others in current safety
procedures.
Product Presentation:
* Monitor and maintain quality of food and beverages, control
inventories, and ensure overall grooming of service staff.
* Maintain control over inventories and ensure quality of food and
beverages.
Financial:
* Follow an organizational structure to maximize productivity and
communication, maintain safety and security, and maximize financial
performance.
* Suggest promotions, train staff on up-selling, and build guest
loyalty.
* Enforce federal, state, and local laws, including health and
labor.
Administrative:
* Ensure accuracy of menus, wine lists, and POS postings.
* Keep departmental literature up to date, including job
descriptions, training manuals, and forms.
* Respond to guest requests and complaints in a timely manner.
* Participate and monitor Avero reports regarding daily
performance.
* Attend necessary meetings scheduled by General Manager, Director
of Operations, or ownership.
Self-Development:
* Maintain current knowledge of the world of restaurants, including
food, wine, beer, and spirits.
* Continually develop knowledge on your own time and stay on top of
current industry trends.
Minimal Essential Requirements:
* Ability to work as part of a team and personal cleanliness.
* Basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills.
* Time management and ability to work under pressure.
* Active listening and learning skills.
* Reading and speaking comprehension skills.
* Ability to communicate and understand direction in English.
* Discipline to follow set standards.
* Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
