Job Summary: Restaurant Manager oversees all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure a seamless and exceptional dining experience for guests. This role involves managing staff, maintaining quality standards, optimizing profitability, and upholding the restaurant's reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the General Manager in running the daily operations of the restaurant
  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of the restaurant floor staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest service
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising FOH staff to ensure high performance and adherence to standards
  • Maintaining and keeping record of food and equipment inventories
  • Scheduling and receiving food and beverage deliveries, verifying product quality and quantity
  • Monitoring budgets and payroll records, reviewing financial transactions for authorized and budgeted expenditures
  • Addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
  • Providing support and guidance to the service team, including servers, server supports, and receptions
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders
  • Conducting pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, menu changes, and service expectations
  • Assisting in training new staff members and providing ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and other furnishings
  • Overseeing the closing procedures, including cash handling, reconciliation, and securing the premises
  • Collaborating with other managers to ensure seamless coordination between FOH and Kitchen operations
  • Following Zuma's service standards and protocols, including uniform guidelines, grooming standards, and service etiquette
  • Operating ethically to protect the image of the company
    Requirements:
    • 3+ years of experience in restaurant management role in a premium dining environment
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
    • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, guest relations, and compliance with health and safety regulations
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff
    • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally
    • Knowledge of restaurant operations and service standards
    • Familiarity with POS systems and basic administrative tasks
    • Passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest service
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
