ABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior Director, Global Internal Communications will act as a strategic visionary, responsible for building and leading a world-class internal communications team, acknowledging the significant impact of this function within a global organization. This hands-on leadership role requires a highly experienced leader who can shape and execute our internal communications strategy while thriving in a dynamic business environment.   • Design and execute comprehensive internal communications strategies that support Peloton's objectives, enhance the culture, and improve employee engagement
  • Lead the internal communications team, fostering a collaborative environment, guiding professional development, and ensuring high-performance
  • Oversee and inform the creation, distribution, and management of informative and engaging content across various channels, including intranet, newsletters, emails, podcasts, articles, and town hall meetings; guided by the internal communications calendar
  • Partner with senior leadership (VP, SVP, C-level) to craft and deliver clear, consistent messaging that resonates across all employee levels, including developing talking points, speech writing, and communication strategies
  • Oversee internal communications during crises, ensuring timely, accurate information is shared to prevent misinformation and uphold organizational integrity
  • Implement effective communication and feedback tools to gauge employee sentiment and feedback, using insights to drive improvements in internal communications; leverage metrics/results on the performance of stories, intranet pages, newsletter, etc. to inform and update the channel strategy
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners (People, DEI, Talent Acquisition, Corp Comms, etc.) to ensure that internal communications effectively reflect and support external messaging and brand positioning
  • Ensure the internal communications team is embedded in the organization, keeping a pulse on employee sentiment and engagement to develop proactive strategies that promote a healthy workplace culture
  • Institute quality controls to ensure communications are accurate and go through the proper approvals
  • Infuse DEI practices into Peloton's culture, fostering an environment of inclusion and support aligned with Peloton's vision, mission, and valuesYOU BRING TO PELOTON
    • 10+ years of communications / public relations experience working at a senior level in a major corporation, talent agency, or public relations firm with experience managing the development and implementation of integrated strategic communications plans for global organizations
    • Confidence and credibility as a subject matter expert in internal communications best practices, and ability to effectively engage diverse constituencies, and build professional relationships
    • Proven experience in building or redesigning an internal communications department, including developing structures, processes, and strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and influence C-level leadership, driving alignment on internal communication strategies and ensuring messaging resonates with organizational goals and priorities.
    • Demonstrated ability to proactively craft substantive and cohesive messaging based on Peloton's strategic goals and mission, communicate messages successfully with key audiences, and adapt and adjust messages as appropriate
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven track record of crafting effective content for various communication platforms, formats, and audiences, along with the ability to simplify complex information
    • Extensive experience in crisis communications and issues management, addressing a range of challenges such as workplace culture matters, social justice issues, political challenges, and misinformation
    • Deep expertise in digital communications and the social ecosystem, with a strong understanding of multimedia, visual storytelling, and modern communication platforms#LI-Hybrid #LI-HO1The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
