Morses Mill Plant located in Linden, New Jersey , is seeking to
fill the Maintenance Manager position to provide leadership and
guidance to the maintenance team. TheMaintenance Manager reports to
the Plant Manager and leads an organization consisting of
thefollowing Veolia resources: Maintenance Planner, Maintenance MRO
Planner, and residentcontractor team composed of Maintenance
supervisor, two (2) E&I Technicians, two (2) Pipefitters
Mechanics, two, Boilermaker Mechanics, One millwright mechanic, and
one generalLabor Mechanic. The on-site maintenance contractor
providing welding, pipe fitting, and softcrafts reports to this
position.Morses Mill is a key facility within the Veolia North
America - Regeneration ServicesOrganization servicing the refining,
chemical, health care, and pharmaceutical industriesthrough
regeneration of spent sulfuric acid streams and production of
various grades of sulfuricacid, both fuming and non-fuming.
Sulfuric acid is a critical component in chemical synthesisand
material processing for a wide array of end use applications. Our

Stewardship, and Operational Excellence.PRIMARY DUTIES /
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Member of facility leadership team. Participate in the
development and improvement of the Morses Mill facility to meet our
goals in EHS and Operational Excellence. This includes setting the
strategic direction and identifying and implementing key
improvements in support of business objectives.
- Improve and sustain Safety, Health, and Environmental
performance of the maintenance organization.
- Provide mentoring and guidance for direct reports and oversee
their training and development needs.
- Drive maintenance best practices and continuous improvement
efforts to achieve increased efficiency, consistency, and
quality.
- The manager will lead the Maintenance Work Process and champion
the utilization and improvements in the SAP system at the Morses
Mill facility.
- Manages the planning, budgeting, and execution of the bi-annual
Turnarounds. This includes contracting, cost control, and
integration of capital work.
- Acts as Contract Administrator of the site.
- Responsible and accountable for maintenance spending and cost
management including contract services, maintenance labor,
overtime, and maintenance materials.
- Responsible for the execution of the reliability tasks (PM &
PDM).
- Accountable for Planning and scheduling.
- Responsible for capital budgeting, planning, and execution for
small plant capital projects. Support the construction execution of
large capital projects at the site working with off site
resources.
- Establish strong communications with Manufacturing Operations
that ensures the highest level of maintenance coordination and
support to the operations.
- Lead incident investigations related to maintenance events and
provide insight as required on other incident investigations.
- Manage all contractors and contract services as required by
plant projects or maintenance needs.
- Serve as Process Safety Management (PSM) element owner for
"Contractor Safety & Performance" and other PSM element roles as
deemed appropriate.
- Support and contribute to business & site planning development
through interaction with processes including, but not limited to
Five-Year Capital Plan, Asset Life Planning (ALP), and Reliability
Vulnerabilities Outlook.
- Active leader on the troubleshooting and resolution of
equipment related malfunctions.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK
ENVIRONMENT
- Willingness and capability to don basic personal protective
equipment, (i.e., safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves,
face mask etc) to enter plant areas as needed to perform duties
related to these required skills.
- Willing and able to climb stairs, ladders/stools; stand, walk,
stoop, bend, kneel, crawl;visual acuity for close work; able to
reach overhead; able to hear and respond to
alarmsQualificationsEducation / Experience / Background
- Bachelor's degree, from an accredited university (Preferably in
Engineering). In lieu of specified degree, high school diploma and
10+ years of experience working in chemical or petrochemical
operations in maintenance and/or operations.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing
facility.
- Experience working with Maintenance Managing Processes and
systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both
written and verbal.
- Demonstrated strong teamwork and collaboration skills.Knowledge
/ Skills / Abilities
- Experience working with Mechanical Integrity and Engineering
Organization to meet quality and installation standards.
- Root Cause investigation and incident investigation experience
required.
- SAP Experience and proficiency is preferred.
- Turnaround experience and/or large project management
experience is preferred.
- Experience in PSM covered operation is preferred.
- Experience in job roles requiring HazWoper qualification and
HazMat training is preferred.Required Certification / Licenses /
Training
- Must possess a current and valid Driver's license.
- Must have ability to obtain TWIC (Transportation workers
identification credential)card once employed.Additional
